I live in Halifax, NS in Canada. Until recently I was a professor in the Management Dept of the Sobey School of Business at Saint Mary’s University in Halifax. I am a specialist in Industrial Relations.
Now, retired from the ivory tower, I’m a writer and an activist.
And a blogger. Here I am with the buttons I produced for a campaign at Saint Mary’s University in the wake of the “Rape Chant” during Frosh week. The buttons say, I’m a SMU and I’m against Racism, Sexism and Homophobia. If you want to read my chapter on the Rape Chant at Saint Mary’s, read it here (cut and paste into your browser) file:///Users/judithhaiven/Dropbox/blog-2017/Haiven_may2017-2.pdf
It appears in the book Sexual Violence at Canadian Universities
Activism, Institutional Responses, and Strategies for Change, edited by E Quinlan and A Quinlan et al (WLU Press), August 2017.

Hi Judy, it’s John McCracken. There seems to be lots of confusion about this year’s Christmas statutory holidays, especially Boxing Day.
Have you written about this? I know you often do.
