How did a bullet enter so many Palestinian children’s brains?

The New York Times reports that 44 out of 65 American doctors who have volunteered  recently in Gaza’s almost destroyed hospitals, have seen children brought in with one bullet lodged in their brain or left side of their chest, right where doctors place their stethoscopes.

The parents said their children had been playing in their home or out on the street. 

Sometimes a sniper pumped one bullet into a child’s chest and another into their brain.  As US orthopedic and hand surgeon Dr Mark Permutter said, “No child has been shot twice by mistake by a sniper.”  

Perlmutter spent nearly a month last spring in Gaza’s hospitals. He has definitive proof that Israeli sharpshooters targeted young children, and he knows. “On our medical teams we have vast experience with high velocity bullet wounds.  The children were hit with such high velocity that their entire chest cavity is missing.  We turn the child over and we see their spinal cord, their lungs and hearts were never brought into the operating room.” 

The only way for a single bullet to be lodged in those kids is if an IOF or IDF sharpshooter deliberately shot them.
Given that Gaza’s few remaining hospitals are hanging on by a thread, that there are few analgesics, and no operating theatres, dressings or supplies, these children with the single bullet die within hours or days because the bullets remain buried in their little bodies.

Bullet in the head, or chest means one soldier is picking off the child; and assassinating him or her.  The kids could be only months old, or preteens or teens.  But the bullet to the brain or the chest is assassination. The mother of three-and-a-half-year-old Emad Abu Al-Qura said her son had heard there were clementines. He wanted one and when his hand reached out to take one he was shot. Emad’s mother said,  “My son, who was eager to get some mandarins and looking forward to eating them, was executed by their bullets.”

So what do the 555 Jewish doctors affiliated with the University of Toronto Temerty Faculty  of Medicine in DARA, (Doctors against Racism and Antisemitism), have to say about this? 

Are they daring to say the x-rays are fake? 

Are they daring to say that the babies and under-12s pose a danger to the IDF soldiers? 

Are they daring to say Israel’s shoot to kill policy is never exacted on infants – or children? that Israel boasts the “most moral army” in the world? 

Are the 555 Jewish doctors in DARA daring to say that the shootings are acceptable because Israel has a right to defend itself – even against children?

On Twitter, someone noticed one pediatrician, a member of the 555 DARA doctors, posted a cartoon of the Road Runner and the words “beep beep motherfucker” –lauding the Israelis for the exploding pagers which killed 12 and injured 2,800 –mainly in Lebanon. .   

How is it that a pediatrician, presumably someone who loves children, or at least wants to treat, cure and comfort children, can take such delight in the wanton injury to children, many of whom were victims of the pager scam?

Canada Revenue revokes JNF charitable status

The website of DARA is a kind of rogue’s gallery of highlighting Jewish supremacist causes.  For instance, it calls on its members to sign an open letter and “Stand with JNF Canada against targeted bias”.  In August after decades of pressure, the Canada Revenue Agency finally agreed to enforce its own rules about what registered charities can and cannot do, and to revoke the tax status of the Jewish National Fund of Canada for violating those very rules.  Donations by Canadians to the JNF allow the agency to push Palestinians off their lands, to destroy Palestinian villages, to fund the Israeli Defence Forces and to fund illegal Jewish settlements in the West Bank. 

Then DARA posts an open letter to social work educators that claims the “decolonizing narrative has been firmly attached to a hatred toward the only democratic country in the Middle East: the Jewish homeland” and that today “social work privileges Arab nationalism while vilifying Jewish nationalism”.  Clearly DARA wants Canadian Jews to be seen as a beleaguered minority – and that Arabs are maligning Jews.  Again, no evidence.

Since when do Canadian Jews need protection on campus?

Finally, a press statement boasts about 100 Jewish physicians (members of DARA) who pledge to remove their University of Toronto affiliation from their signatures in protest the university’s “failure to protect Jews on campus”  (evidence please?) The press release insists, “As long as UofT fails to act, the U of T affiliation under the signature of the Jewish physician faculty tarnishes these faculty members’ reputation.”

We have 555 Jewish doctors in Toronto who appear to have no humanitarian concern for women and children in Gaza, the West Bank (or Lebanon), let alone men.  All of them are getting slaughtered by Israel —because they are Palestinians and “enemies” of Israel—even the babies.  If doctors cannot be counted upon to oppose genocide in all forms, what good are they?
